Kevin O’Neill

Kevin O’Neill is our Wednesday and Friday morning sports guy. His segment emphasizes what happens off the field as much as what happens on the field. All businesses have their intrigue, but the inner workings of sports organizations find their way into the public domain frequently. Unless a rant from the Chief spills into Kevin’s segment (not an unusual occurrence), he will highlight some of those sports related business issues; but be advised that those highlights usually come with an opinion. Dan Haugh

Dan Haugh joined PTI Securities & Futures in 1991 and is one of the founding partners. He is responsible for the firm’s daily operations, and regulatory, compliance and financial activities. He devotes the majority of his time to discussing risk management alternatives with PTI Securities’ individual and institutional clients. Before joining PTI Securities, Dan traded grain and bond options as a floor trader on the Chicago Board of Trade, and stock options as a member of the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE). He also regularly delivers educational seminars to PTI’s clients and is an instructor for the CBOE’s “Options Institute.” He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, and an MBA from DePaul University in Chicago. He is a regular contributor to major financial outlets such as Bloomberg, CNBC, Fox Business and First Business Additionally, he contributes to CBOE’s community blog. In his free time, Dan enjoys biking and soccer. A native of Chicago, Dan lives in the city’s Beverly neighborhood.

MATT WEBER

Matt Weber is currently the Executive Producer, Update Anchor and starting Center Fielder for Stocks & Jocks. He is a die-hard sports fan (Cubs, Bears and Bulls especially) and has worked for WSCR-AM 670 The Score, 120 Sports Network and Chicago Sports Webio while also appearing on Comcast Sportsnet Chicago. Matt has covered the Chicago Bulls, Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Marathon as a field reporter and has interviewed some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment. Matt lives in the Lincoln Park neighborhood on the Northside of the city.

ONE TRADE YOU’D LIKE TO HAVE BACK

I turned down free tickets and a ride to Milwaukee to go watch the Cubs vs. Astros play a Hurricane Ike makeup game back in 2008. I decided instead to play pickup basketball with a few of my friends. Of course, Carlos Zambrano ended up throwing a no hitter that night … and I ended up with a sprained ankle. Bad trade.
